Job Title: CAD designer – GD&T Specialist

Job Description
We are looking for a contract GD&T Specialist who will be responsible for GD&T, design rules, tolerance stack-up analysis, and dimensional study. The main role of CAD designer – GD&T specialist is reviewing 2D designs to ensure GD&T standard is followed on the drawings . This position requires working well with design responsible engineers and CAD designer.  We are looking for a contract CAD Designers who will work with mechanical engineers to design 3D CAD models and 2D drawings. The CAD designer must follow design rules and GD&T standard. This position requires working with design responsible engineers.

Requirements
Extended knowledge in GD&T, ASME Y14.5M-1994
• Working knowledge in dimensioning and tolerance study
• Expertise in 3D modeling and creating 2D drawings in Catia V6 or NX
• 5 Years in a design/drafting mechanical parts such as component design, HVAC system design, and automotive part design
• Work closely with design engineers and CAD designers
• Find out drawing requirements by speaking to engineers to review 3D model and 2D drawings based on the requirements
• Support design engineers on packaging study in the CAD software and revise CAD model accordingly.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications
• Previous work experience in tolerance study
• 7+ years experience in 2D/3D CAD design

Salary: $35/hr to $40/hr + 10% bonus based on performance
The working term is 3 months and can be full time based on performance
